Answers to the most common questions from convenors, captains, and players.
01. Do players or captains need to create an account?
No! That is our core advantage over corporate sports platforms. Players never have to create an account, remember passwords, or download an app. They can view schedules, gym rules, standings, and sub boards instantly. Captains simply use a secure 4-digit PIN provided by their convenor to enter scores.
02. How does the iCalendar (.ics / webcal) subscription work?
Click the "Sync to Calendar" button at the top of any schedule. You can subscribe to your team's matches or the entire league. The feed adheres to RFC 5545 specifications, meaning games sync right into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook. If a gym permit time changes or a match is rescheduled, your phone updates automatically.
03. How does the Spare & Sub Player Board protect contact info?
Spare player phone numbers and email addresses are never rendered in public HTML. Contact information is strictly PIN-gated: only verified team captains in that league can unlock a sub's contact information. Furthermore, every spare receives an unguessable self-service removal link upon signup so they can take themselves off the board at any time with 1 click.
04. How do I schedule tournaments, clinics, or blackout dates?
In your Convenor Admin Dashboard under the Schedule & Matches tab, click "+ Add Event / Tournament". You can schedule year-end championship tournaments, playoff brackets, skills clinics, banquets, or gym blackout dates. These appear highlighted directly on the public schedule and sync into player calendars.
05. How do multiple gym facilities and default venues work?
Under Gym Facilities & Rules, you can add facilities with specific court names (e.g. Stage Court, West Gym, Court 1). You can also designate one venue as your Default Venue, which automatically pre-selects that facility and its court when adding single matches or using the batch match creator.
06. How do I customize my league's colors and branding?
Head to the League Settings tab in your convenor dashboard. You can select custom primary and secondary athletic hex colors, or choose from 14 curated athletic preset palettes (such as Classic Athletic, Midnight Gold, Forest Gold, Retro Sunset, etc.) with real-time live preview.
07. What should I do if I am locked out of my convenor account?
Submit a message via the form on this page or email us directly at support@recleague.ca from your registered convenor address. Our platform administrator can securely reset your credentials or provide an instant temporary access pass.
